The following descriptions should give you a better idea of the focus of each PTA committee:

Treasurer - Responsible for all aspects of financial records for PTA, handles all money, makes deposits to the bank, writes all checks and keeps up with reconciliation of checking account, and makes sure every PTA event has plenty of change. Works with the Finance Committee to prepare financial statements, budget, taxes, and yearly audit.
Corresponding Secretary- responsible for writing thank you notes to all businesses and community members who contribute time or money to our PTA. You may also be asked to take meeting minutes if the recording secretary is unable to.
VP Fundraising - oversee all fundraising for the school year, is on the finance committee and works closely with the treasurer to ensure accurate and detailed accounting guidelines are maintained. Works with the following committees:
• Fall Fundraiser
• School Book Fairs
• Citipass Books
• Scrip Program
• Restaurant Spirit Nights
• Soup Labels & Box Tops
• Grocery Store Redemption Program
VP Student Services – oversees all student programs for the school and organizes the Eagle Fun Fest. She works with the following committees and needs several committee chairs to help her:
• Cultural Arts
• Reflections
• Health & Safety
• School Store/Spirit Wear
• Eagle Fun Fest (April 23rd)
VP Communications - oversees all communications needed to run a successful PTA, he has a lot of innovative ideas and he will be working with the following committees:
• Website- updating and maintaining information on our PTA website
• Email Announcements and PTA information
• Newsletter
• Publicity
• Yearbook/Historian
• Bilingual Translation & Communication so that we can reach out to our Hispanic community.
VP Parent Involvement – OPEN, will create ways for parents to become more involved in the school and offer incentives for them to attend school events and PTA meetings. You will work with the following committees to help this be successful:
• Membership
• Hospitality
• Volunteer Coordinator
• School Beautification
• 5th Grade Celebration
• Parent Programs/Workshops
• “Passport to Success”
